Getting started with Web Based E-Mail
Congratulations on your
new website. In addition to hosting your website, Flexible Internet also
provides e-mail accounts for you at your domain name. This document will show
you how to use your new e-mail accounts.
Accessing E-Mail
- Make sure your
computer is on and you are connected to the Internet.
- Open up a browser
(Internet Explorer, Netscape or any other similar program).
- Browse to the address http://mail.yourdomain.com.
At this point, the
following will appear on your screen:
- In the ‘User ID’
box, type your e-mail address (user@yourdomain.com for example).
- In the ‘Password’
box, type your password. Be careful to use capital or lowercase letters
exactly as your password calls for them
- Click on the ‘Log
In’ icon just below the ‘Password’ box.
The Main Menu will
now appear on your screen. It should look like this:

- To view new mail,
click on the ‘Inbox’ folder. To view the contents of another folder,
simply click on that folder name instead. Please note that if a folder is
empty, you cannot click on its name.
- A screen will appear
showing the contents of the folder you clicked on. Click on any message that
you wish to read.
Managing
E-Mail
When you are reading a
message, several options will appear on the screen (including ‘Reply’,
‘Reply All’, ‘Forward’, ‘Delete’ and ‘Move To’) To select any of
these options, simply click on the appropriate word.
Sending E-Mail
To send an original
message:
- Click on the blue
‘Compose’ tab along the top of the window.
- Fill in the
appropriate ‘To’ and ‘Subject’ information at the top.
- Type your message in
the large box in the middle.
- Click ‘Send
Message’ below.
To reply to a message:
- While viewing the
message, click the blue word ‘Reply’ or ‘Reply All’.
- Type your message in
the large box, above the words ‘Original Message’.
- Click ‘Send
Message’ below.
Additional Help
For
additional
assistance, please click the blue ‘Help’ tab at the top of the screen. A
blue help screen will pop up and it will look like this:

of instruction.
